Besti Cookie Twists

The Besti Cookie Twists project was a delightful opportunity to create a bold, cheerful, and kid-friendly packaging design that felt inviting to families and fun for children, while still fitting seamlessly into the Besti product family. The challenge was to visually communicate both the flavor and the joyful spirit of the product—turning something as simple as a butter-flavored cookie into a moment of happiness right on the shelf.

Understanding the Product and Market Placement

Cookie Twists are light, sweet, buttery snacks that appeal to both kids and adults. Their whimsical shape and crispy texture called for an equally playful design approach. The goal was to:

  • Make the packaging bright and eye-catching, especially when placed among competing products.

  • Appeal to a family audience, especially younger children, by creating a design that felt friendly, fun, and energetic.

  • Emphasize flavor and crunch visually through texture and illustration.

Colour Palette Selection

  • Bright Yellow Background: Yellow is associated with warmth, happiness, and buttery flavor—making it the perfect fit for a cookie product. It immediately stands out on shelf and radiates joy.

  • Bold Blue Accents: The use of a rich, punchy blue adds contrast and energy to the layout, guiding the eye toward the product name. Blue is also less commonly used for cookie packaging, helping this stand out even more.

  • White and Yellow Typography: These were used to maintain legibility while staying playful and lighthearted.

Outcome

  • The final Besti Cookie Twists packaging design is bold, joyful, and full of personality. It invites consumers to enjoy a lighthearted snack experience, celebrates the playful twist shape with expressive visuals, and feels right at home in a fun-loving family’s pantry. The result is a product that doesn’t just sit on the shelf—it smiles back.
